Ayano Kato

Hi! I’m Ayano, and I’m happy to join the after-school origami class as a volunteer assistant. I was born and raised in Japan, moved to Menlo Park nine years ago, and have lived in Palo Alto for the past four years. I have a son at Paly, a daughter at JLS, and a fluffy Pomeranian named Uzu.

I grew up folding origami in Japan and still enjoy making cranes, flowers, and decorating message cards. I also loved helping at my kids’ school’s International Fair, making colorful origami to decorate Japan booth. I can’t wait to see everyone’s unique creations and fold together!​
