Hi, I'm Shiori. I’m from Japan. I have been living in Palo Alto since the summer of 2023. My family consists of my husband and my son, who is in the 2nd grade. I enjoy building LEGO sets and playing catch with my son. Recently, I have also been having fun playing pickleball with my friends.

I believe origami is fascinating because it allows you to create many different shapes from a single sheet of paper. I have been familiar with origami since my kindergarten days, when I would make flowers, animals, and more. I also used to make boxes to store my treasures, and sometimes I would give origami creations as gifts to my friends and family.

 

In this class, my goal is to help students enjoy origami and share their creations with their friends.​
