Hello, I’m Mayo. I was born in Japan and spent seven years in the United States as a child before returning to Japan for my elementary school education. In June 2024, I moved back to California.

When I returned to Japan for elementary school, I could hardly speak Japanese. However, origami helped me connect with my cousins and classmates. I believe origami is a wonderful tool that brings people together. I look forward to helping you improve your origami skills!​
